euthanasia, end of life issues and all issues of life as we have been taught through God s Word. They teach and encourage all to preserve the sanctity of life as given by our

FEBRUARY
Lutheran Church of Kenya Lutheran Church of Kenya has reached out to partner with the Missouri Synod particularly because we are people of the Bible! Kenya, Africa is just
becoming a democracy after years of internal corruption. due to extreme poverty, crime is rampant. Medical care is virtually non-existent. Forty percent of the
adult population and eight-five percent of all babies born have AIDS. Some pastors have not been paid in four years! Those who have live on $20 a month to support their
families. Christianity is thriving in Africa - the local church is the center of life. But they need our help and support for their local congregations. Please
pray for our impoverished brothers and sisters in Christ living in this ravaged country and please consider a donation to this important mission.
MARCH
Shepherd of the Hills, Bantam Our Mission of the Month is Shepherd of the Hills in Bantam. Shepherd of the Hills is a daughter congregation of Holy Trinity. We thank God for
the blessing He has given the congregation as they have grown to become self-operating over the last few years. The challenge of starting and sustaining a mission is very
demanding. Our support in aiding their work in Bantam is a wonderful way for us to share the light of the crucified and resurrected Lord to our neighbors in the northwest corner of
the state.
APRIL
Seminarian Support. the road of pastoral education is a long and arduous one. It is also expensive. Each year, our two seminaries (St. Louis, Missouri and Ft.
Wayne, Indiana) do their very best to financially assist those pursuing the pastoral ministry. They are able to do this with funds supplied through the generosity of
Christian congregations like ours. Please consider supporting this collection by marking the amount on your envelope under Mission of the Month during April.
MAY
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL –Our yearly Vacation Bible School reaches many people in the community with the love of Jesus Christ. Some of them have never heard the Gospel
before. Though VBS is costly and time-consuming, we feel it is well worth the effort. Please consider a donation to this worthwhile cause.
JUNE
Concordia, Bronxville, NY. Since it's founding in 1881 as a preparatory school for ministers of the LCMS, Concordia has prepared men and women for lives of service to the
church and to society. Concordia also offers programs in social work, music, pre-med, pre-law, and several options for business administration. Concordia maintains its
quality education and reasonable costs largely because of continued support from churches like ours. Holy Trinity pledged its regular support by being a part of the East
Coast Association of Congregations. Please help us meet our pledge by donating to this very important mission of the month.
JULY
Brazilian Mission. The Brazilian community in greater Boston is the focus of Pastor Riss’s work at the First Lutheran
Church of Boston. With two preaching stations (Boston & Plymouth) serving upwards of 130 Brazilian immigrants, the development of these stations will rise to at least five by
2008. Additional sites include Salem, MA; Hyannis, MA and Providence, RI. Please consider a donation to this very important mission.
AUGUST
Lutheran World Relief. Working with partners in 50 countries to help people grow food, improve health, strengthen communities, end conflict, build livelihoods, and recover
from disasters. Empowered by Gods' unconditional love in Jesus Christ, Lutheran World Relief envisions a world in which each person and every generation lives in justice,
dignity, and peace. Please help support this worthwhile mission.
SEPTEMBER
Terryville Food Bank - The Terryville Community Food Pantry provides services for many in our town who are in need of extra staples and provisions. It is maintained by
five of our local churches, including Holy Trinity. Contributions during this month will help feed hungry neighbors and friends.
Small Wonders Program
In September we will be supporting the Small Wonders Program. This program helps children in our community who are in need of a fresh start
as they begin the school year. Your donations will help purchase school clothing, school supplies, etc. Please consider donating to this worthwhile cause.
OCTOBER
For the Sake of the Church - “For the sake of the church, we must have and maintain Christian schools.” - Martin Luther Our
mission is to double, by 2010, the number of Lutheran leaders produced by the Concordia University System. This service to the church will double the number of LCMS graduates at
the colleges and universities through the increased benefit and support of these students. For the sake of the Church is a national endowment program to support this effort
with an estimated endowment goal of more than $400 million. We need your support!!!
