The Rev. Dr. Dwight D. Shellaway has served as Pastor of Christ Lutheran Church since 1999. A native of southeastern Pennsylvania, Pastor Dwight is a graduate of Muhlenberg College (BA in Psychology, 1970) and the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia (Master of Divinity, 1974; Doctor of Ministry, 1994). Prior to his coming to Christ Lutheran, Pastor Dwight served congregations in southeastern Pennsylvania, central California, and northern New Jersey.Pastor Dwight and his wife, Nancy, are the proud parents of two sons, Justin (an attorney in Washington, D.C.) and Jared (a marketing analyst living in New York City). Pastor Dwight's interests include travel, swimming, camping and hiking, recorded music, and all things "Star Trek."
Of his ministry at Christ Lutheran, Pastor Dwight says, "I feel blessed to be called as Pastor of such a vibrant, caring faith community such as Christ Lutheran. Ours is a 'mutual ministry,' as together we use the people and material resources which God has granted us to make Christ known to our Greensboro community and beyond.
