Update on Francis Riddle (Christian Life Committee)

"I am pretty good considering! Have five holes in my tummy. There were lots
of stones (gb gone now) I was told; having heartburn this am; trying to drink
lots of fluids; very sore; ready to go back and lay down. Very thankful that I had a good medical team - they were great to me. I had a rough day yesterday. Severe pain and a little vomiting. Temp spiked, but a call to my surgeon and a change in med order seem to do the trick. Much better this am.

Cathryn Nihiser - A prayer of Thanksgiving - 10/11/09

Cathryn had right thumb arthroplasty, where arthritic bone is taken out and a soft joint of another ligament is put in its place. She told me in an email today, "I had a nerve block that lasted about 15 hours - that was a strange sensation because the right arm (without any feeling) felt like it was in a different position than it actually was. I've cut the pain med already, so the hand is actually feeling pretty good. Cathryn"

From Pam Dawson - latest update 10/09/09

"My husband Bob was released from his surgeon just yesterday with no further treatment for his lung cancer. He just has to have CT scan or chest X ray every 6 months for the rest of his life. The Lord has blessed us with early detection and a fine surgical team. Praise God from whom all blessings flow."
