Mission Statement: We believe Ministry can best be defined for our needs, God's people coming together to care for ourselves and others in the name of Jesus Christ, Using His Word to grow together in faith, forgiveness, compassion and his ultimate gift:Love"FACILITATORS: Ms. Cintron Ms. Baynes Ms. Moultrie We seek to bring our youths together to develop their strengths by focusing on ideals which are limited to: Servanthood - embracing opportunity to serve not only the school and church community and also the community at large; Character - developing the understanding of life's issues and how to handle them as children of God; Fellowship - giving the opportunity for safe interactions in a christian setting; and Stewardship - utilizing the opportunity to use GOd's gift and blessings to benefit themselves and their community. GOALS FOR THE COMING YEAR Increase involvement in the school Particiapte in service opportunities Involve in mentoring younger school students Participate in retreats Continue once a weeks youth night meetings ACTIVITIES Games night Ice skating Thanksgiving school wide Thanksgiving Food Drive Participate in School Wide Christmas Project Involvement in soup kitchen Fund raising: Bake sale Hot dog sale Pasta Dinner Craft sale Chocolate sale Flea Market Movie PRESERVING OF CHURCH HISTORY Youth are also involved in preserving church data from 1890 to present by imputing church records on a database which will be accessible on our website in the future. | |
