Elected Positions to the Board of Directors
The duties of the officers of the Executive Board shall be:

President
To preside over all meetings.
To see that all resolutions and intentions of LSA are carried out.
To be responsible for receiving a report from each officer and to present a consolidated report to elected Board members at regular meetings.
To be responsible for content of all correspondence outside the Board. The President may choose to delegate this responsibility to another Board member.
To schedule all LSA Executive Board meetings.
To prepare and follow an orderly agenda for each meeting at which he/she presides.
Make such appointments as are necessary.
To ensure that all necessary reports are filed to ensure that the organization is kept in good standing.
Appoint someone to audit the treasurer’s books at the end of each term of office.

Vice President
To assume the duties of the President in the President’s absence.
To assist the President in any way needed.
To act as Financial Secretary, recording all charitable contributions and receipts for LSA sending letters to all contributors and forwarding membership forms to Membership Administrator and Conference Registration forms to the designated Conference Committee member; deposits checks/funds into LSA bank account; and forwarding monthly report of receipts to Treasurer.
To receive mail from Post Office Box and forward to the appropriate Board Member keeping an incoming mail log showing all mail received, date received, amounts of any checks received, and to whom it was sent.
To review annually this Constitution and Bylaws, maintaining the official copy, keeping it current and recommending changes that meet the needs of the organization.
To be bondable.
To make a monthly report to the President.

Secretary
To record proceedings of all meetings in detail.
To register attendance at meetings.
To be custodian of all correspondence and minutes.
To issue correspondence under the supervision of the President.
To send a copy of the minutes to each Board member within one month after each meeting.
To make a monthly report to the President.

Treasurer
To be a good steward of funds of LSA
To keep accurate records of income and disbursements.
To pay all bills within the limits of the budget.
To make non-budgeted disbursements after approval of the Executive Board.
To ensure that all Federal or State tax forms are completed in a timely manner and forward to the President for signature and filing.
To be bondable.
To make a monthly report to the President.

Membership Administrator
To keep a current computerized record of names, addresses and information of all members of LSA.
To make monthly membership statistical reports to the Executive Board.
Print address labels and forward to Newsletter Editor.
Prepare list of current voting members to be used at Conference to identify those eligible to vote. Ensure that list is available at start time for check-in at the Conference.
To make a monthly report to the President.

Conference Chairperson
To keep the President informed on development of the Conference through a monthly report.
To ensure that the Conference Committee guidelines are followed.

Newsletter Editor
To gather and compile articles for the newsletter.
To be responsible for meeting the newsletter deadlines set forth by the Executive Board.
To be responsible for content, layout and printing of the newsletter.
To be responsible for prompt mailing of the newsletter.
To retain one copy of each newsletter for permanent record.
To make a monthly report to the President.

Public Relations Administrator
To be responsible for communication between LSA and Districts at the direction of the President.
To submit, as directed by the President, articles regarding the regular Conference and LSA for publication in the “Reporter”, “Lutheran Witness” and other such publications.
To make a monthly report to the President.

Resource Administrator
To maintain an annotated bibliography of resources available for use in Ministry.
To maintain a library of singles resources.
To make a monthly report to the President.

Fund Development Administrator
To cultivate and promote donations to LSA.
To develop fund raising programs.
To seek out other funding opportunities for LSA.
To make monthly report to the President.

Tour Coordinator
To make all arrangements concerning the tours as specified by the Executive Board.
To keep the LSA membership informed of upcoming tour events through the newsletter.
Communicate with Public Relations Administrator regarding tour information to be sent to Districts and for publications.
To keep the President informed of any and all progress through a monthly report.

Fellowship Coordinator
To send out birthday greetings to all members.
To send out other special occasions greetings (as he receives information).
To act as greeter at the Sunday worship service at the Conference.
To make a monthly report to the President.

Pastoral Advisor
To provide pastoral guidance and support to LSA according the doctrines of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
To approve all speakers being considered for the Conference.
To approve Sunday morning Worship Service at the Conference.
To provide materials and/or Liturgy for Single Adult Ministry Sunday.
To submit articles for the LSA newsletter.
