May Events
This month we had some more great events at St. James. We started our Youth Night on the last Friday of May. On Memorial Day we remembered all American Soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. The Flea Market on May 24th was another great success. On that same Sat. afternoon, Chris Connelly and GB Cares showed up with their crews to clear away the eighteen foot tree stump from our front yard. The George Najarian Talent Show was a wonderful show and we all had a fantastic time at the I'm Sorry Game.
Memorial Day Parade

Using our New Banner, some people came out into the rain to join us in remembering America's fallen soldiers. The wind was strong, and the weather wet & cold, so instead of marching, we drove from one memorial site to the next. Pastor Nebrasky led a prayer in our front yard. All were welcomed into the Knights of Columbus afterward to dry off and enjoy a hot dog and soda.
Friday Youth Night Begins

Putting the finishing touches on birds houses
On Friday, May 30, we had our first Youth Night. Put together by Linda Hanson and her helpers, all the effort and planning paid off! There was any number of crafts to do and games to play. The age range of the kids who helped kick-off this highly anticipated group were anywhere between three years up to teenagers. Even some adults who showed up began learning how to crochet.

Maybe it will be a Father's Day gift??

Tree Cutting in Front Yard

Stump being worked on by Chris Connelly and his coworker
There is now a new look to St. James' front yard, thanks to the time and hard work donated by Connelly Bros. and some of the crew from GB Cares. The eighteen foot tree stump which was left in the middle of the yard has now been completely removed! All that's left is some saw dust. We are also thankful for the removal of the tree limb reaching toward Pastor Nebrasky's window. Thanks again!

May Flea Market

Our most recent Flea Market was another great success. The dedication and hard work everyone puts in really pays off! Whether it be dealing with vendors, helping to set up, working at the Church tables, making coffee in the kitchen or cleaning up after, all deserve a round of thanks!

Talent Show

Thanks so much to George Najarian and his talented performers for putting on such a great show. All the proceeds from this event went right to Saint James Church!

Ready for a great time

I'm Sorry Game
The I'm Sorry Game was such a great success, we are all anticipating the next one already! Thanks goes out to Barbara Fernandez, as this was Barbara's first event, and it turned out great, even though her daughter got married that same afternoon! Everyone went home with a present and most had more than one! It was a Fun Sat. night out, even the kids had a great time!

The presents lined up for the taking

Choices, choices!

I'm Sorry!

If you were there, I'm sure you had a great time! Planning is in the works for another I'm Sorry Game for June 21st. Keep the night open and come have some more fun. See Barbara Fernandez for more info or to reserve a spot.
