On Sunday, September 28, Saint James hosted the Twenty-Second Memorial Service for the Argonne Marine Park Post No. 107 VFW and their Ladies Auxiliary. There was a brief Service inside the Church where the Church Bell tolled after the names of each Veteran from this year were read. Afterwards, we all followed the Color Guard to the Memorial site outside on our front lawn. A Memorial Wreath was dedicated and a Gun Salute was given. May this tribute remind us of them and their heroism. |

Youth Night Begins |
We began our Youth Nights again on Friday, September 26. The kids enjoy all the crafts & games and could hardly wait for it to resume. Linda, Gina, Lorraine, Pat and a handful of other people are the ones to thank. The group has started to gain popularity and they are asking for any assistance that you may be able to provide. If you haven't stopped by yet, please do so and have look for yourself to see how much fun the children are having. If you'd like to help out, contact Linda Hanson of the Church Council.

Dedication of 9/11 Belfry Memorial Plaque |
During Sunday Morning Service on September 21st, Pastor Nebrasky took a moment to dedicate a plaque in rememberance of the neighbors of Gerritsen Beach who died on 9/11/01. The plaque can be seen at the back of the Church, and a photo will soon be posted on the WTC page.

Organ Donnation to Sunday School |

We'd like to say Thank You to the person who recently donnated a beautiful Organ to our Sunday School. It has already been put to use! At the beginning of classes on Sept. 21, Frank Prescia helped Pastor Nebrasky and Evelyn Hoffman of the Church Choir in their first attempt at teaching the Students a song to sing during the Reformation Sunday Service.

September Flea Market |
Not even Hurricane Isabel could keep the shoppers away! In spite of the threat of Isabel, many vendors chanced the weather and were rewarded with one of the nicest End-of-Summer weekends! Friends and neighbors came out into the Sunshine and shopped! Thank you so much to the handful of people who put in their time to give Saint James that extra boost! We all appreciate it!
