| Weekly Sunday Worship Services |
We currently gather every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for worship. We are currently using Setting 5, the Bread of Life Setting, from "With One Voice". We also use Setting 3, Setting 4, parts of Setting 8 and Setting 10 from "Evangelical Lutheran Worship". We observe Holy Communion every Sunday.
In any month with five Sundays, we take a few moments on the fifth Sunday for a "Hymn Sing". We spend 10 or fifteen minutes during the service giving members of the congregation the opportunity to select hymns to sing that may be their favorites or that we may not have sung in a while.
Each Sunday we have a children's sermon with a brief lesson for the young (and not so young) ones. To close the children's sermon, the children are led in a song by Pastor Al with his guitar.
Communion: Everyone is welcome - without exception. There will be two stations for communion. Come forward in the middle aisle; return to your seats on the side aisles. The server will give you a wafer of bread which you will then dip in the cup of wine. If you prefer not to commune, you may remain seated or come forward to receive a blessing. Young children and infants will also receive a blessing. |

| Bible Study Inserts for the Narrative Lectionary |
On September 11, 2011, we began using a narrative lectionary for worship. Each Sunday an insert is included in the bulletin with bible study to use at home following Sunday's lesson. The purpose of these inserts is to encourage families to set a time in their day for the family to gather for devotions. The ultimate goal is to strengthen families to nurture faith, live well in Christ and pass on faith.
Include devotions in your daily routine! |
