On behalf of our congregation, I invite people of all ages and at all stages of faith to visit us and join with us in worshipping God through our lives and our liturgies. We welcome young children, hosting both a preschool and a daycare center through the week, and we include a children’s time in our worship service and Sunday School following worship. Nobody is too young or too old to serve God, and nobody is too young or too old to be welcome here. Some of us have been on a journey with God for decades, and some are just starting out, or starting over again. Where ever you are at in your faith journey, you are welcome to come and worship with us.
We try to mix tradition with new ideas, aiming for a balance of comfort and excitement. While this congregation is over 200 years old, we are still finding new ways to experience and serve our Lord. Come join us for morning worship at 9 a.m. and Sunday school or fellowship at 10:15 a.m. Maybe you will find the church home just right for you.
Our church is located on the corner of Siddonsburg Road and South Fileys Road, approximately two and a half miles east of the Dillsburg Giant shopping center on Route 15.
Our pastor, Debbie Mahady, has her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University of PA (IUP). She recently graduated with her Master’s of Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg. She was called as Pastor on April 1st to serve us here at Christ Luther Church Fileys and was ordained into the ministry of Word and Sacrament on April 16th.
She currently resides in York Haven with her husband of thirteen years, Paul, and her ten year old son, Nick. She also has a daughter, Gretchen, who resides in Mechanicsburg. Even though she spends a lot of time with the Lord, she also enjoys yoga, reading, quilting, tinkering on the piano, and taking long walks in the park with her dog, Caramel.
