I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.
-The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Living into love, tolerance, appreciation for cultures, people, land, beliefs that we sometimes consider foreign, strange or simply "other than" us is an important part of this life's journey. The verbal, religious, racial, cultural and even physical "stones" we throw at each other tear down the Kingdom of God that we are called to build and embrace.
On this Dr. King holiday we will put down the stones of judgement, misunderstaning, ignorance, as we learn from each other how to live together in this world.
There will be workshops and activities for children, youth, and adults.
The day starts with a pancake breakfast, followed by small group sessions, lunch and then a final large group gathering.
We hope you will join us!
There is no cost to participate.
If you or your group are interested in volunteering (cooking, set-up, clean-up, childcare), offering a workshop or activity, or donating towards the meals please contact Venice Williams at (414) 687-0122 or venicewb@msn.com.
