Wanda Kember came close to losing her life on the evening of March 22, 2003. While riding a four wheel recreational vehicle, she had an accident which has left her paralyzed from the waist down. Her family, friends and the local community threw a fundraiser to help offset some of her medical expenses.

The Champaign County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans donated a DVD player to the benefit auction, as her fiance is a member of our church in Broadlands.
