Family Benefit – On Friday, February 18, Champaign County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will sponsor a Dinner to benefit the Chumbley family. Judy Chumbley became ill 3-4 months ago. Recently cancer was diagnosed, but this can't be treated because she is currently too weak for surgery. Judy is diabetic and has been uninsurable for several years.
Judy has been the secretary for the Rantoul Chamber of Commerce for 15 years. It is the Chamber that is doing much of the work. Thrivent is assisting with advertising, food preparation, auction items, and other work related to this benefit.
Click on the address at the top for a Mapquest map to the event; take 45 North from Champaign and take a right at the second stoplight as you come into Rantoul.
There will be a (freewill donation) meal, an auction, and entertainment provided.
