St John Lutheran Church
Champaign, IL
We will be meeting in the Fellowship Hall, which is the middle of the three large buildings from the front (mattis, or East) side of the church. Park on the east side and enter the middle door, or park on the west side and enter the middle door (the left is closest to the sanctuary, the right door enters the gym facility).

The next meeting of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Champaign County Chapter Board is Monday, February 13th, at 6:30PM at St. John Lutheran Church in Champaign. Contact Dick Vollmer (President, 778- 2774) or Norm Fisher (Records Director, 352-3596) for questions. Service teams created under the Thrivent Care programs were responsible for 16,350 volunteer hours involved in Fundraising or Service projects totalling $105,000 in 2005; Thrivent provided $54,000 of this funding to help people in Champaign County. Included in this are projects reaching out to the larger community -- helping people affected by Hurricane Katrina for example. Contact any member of the board to find out how you can develop a project using some of these funds to help people in our area. The Congregational Coordinators for this church or any church in Champaign County are welcome to attend starting at 6:00PM to get any questions answered by the Champaign Chapter board. We hope to have training of some kind available during this half-hour period. Stick around and attend the meeting to find out what happens at the Community level of your organization. | |
