Coordinators Care in Congregations® Program
The Care in Congregations® program is designed to assist each congregation with the ministries they are doing within their church. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans feels the life and well-being of our churches is important and has designated funds to help supplement the programs within or supplement the cost to maintain the church building through work projects. The amount each church receives is based on baptized membership.

To receive the supplemental funds from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, each congregation needs to name three Thrivent Financial members as congregational coordinators from three different households. These individuals will contact the home office either by telephone or by internet to register the fundraiser or work project. When the project is completed, they will report the results of the project and the supplemental funds will be mailed to the church within a few days.

Congregational Coordinators will also order the Baptismal Medallions and the Confirmation Crosses for their church which are free from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Another important role for the congregational coordinators will be to assist the chapter with the Fall Election.

The Chapter would like to encourage each congregation to take advantage of the supplemental funds available to them.

Remember: For each project your congregation holds, six Thrivent households are to be involved with the activity.

How do you pre-register your activity? Either by internet at www.thrivent.com, members only, Congregational Coordinator Administration or by calling the home office if you do not have a computer at 1-800-236-3736. The quickest and easiest is by going on line. If you do not have a pin number, you will need to register for one. It will take about three days to come in the mail.

Record or keep track of the following:
1. Activity Date
2. Total volunteer hours of everyone involved with project
3. Total attendance
4. Total households attending
5. Total Thrivent members attending
6. Total Thrivent households attending
7. Net funds raised (less expenses) or total cost of work project

You will be asked when the funds should be disbursed.

Also, fill out the Care in Congregations® envelop and mail to the Chapter's Financial Director:

Reminders from your Congregational Service Team Director
Congregations need to fill out an envelop for each Care in Congregations® project they do and mail to the chapter's financial director- No paperwork remains at the church level.

Remember to report your non-funded Thrivent Financial sponsored activities like your blood drives, confirmation recognitions, general meetings if this pertains to you, etc., to the chapter's Record Director-
The home office keeps track of your congregational funds.

For individuals, families and not-for-profit organizations, you can request funds from the chapter. A Care Abounds in Communities™ form must be filled out and mailed to the chapter. You do not enter the projects on the internet-- the Records Director or the Financial Director will enter these on line after the chapter has approved the project.
