| Relay For Life |
Thank you to all of you who supported our fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society. Despite the rain, this year's Galt Relay for Life was a big success. Connie Goethel and I(Ed Lindquist)were each a team captain this year. My team represented the Galt Area Historical Society. It was a lot of work but quite rewarding. Please click on the link (purple letters under photo) to see a few of the photos that I took at this year's event. The preliminary report is that the event raised $50,000. |

Santa Marta Mission Trip 2008 |
Dave Sanders and I (Ed Lindquist) were the only ones to go to Mexico this year. It was a little disappointing that we could not recruit more men for the trip. But, Dave and I had a great time anyway. We were able to paint the concrete floor of a new construction with epoxy paint. The building will house game machines that have been donated to the orphanage/school. We put in 11 new windows in a house that will be a new home for the teenage boys and we hung some sheetrock in this same house. We were invited to lunch at the director's home and we were invited to lunch at the teen boys' home on another day. The rest of the time Dave cooked and I wash the dishes. The weather was great. The children were beautiful and the accomodations fit our needs. We look with great anticipation to next year's trip.
