Christ Lutheran Church offers numerous opportunities for Christian education.

SUNDAY SCHOOL is offered at 9:45 a.m. on Sundays from September through May. We presently have classes available for children from pre-school age through junior high.

THE CATECHISM CLASS meets with the Pastor on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. during the school year. This instructional course for Junior High students focuses on Luther's Small Catechism, and prepares the students for the rite of Confirmation. The current class consists of Melissa Bingey, Courtney Hrycko, Alexandra Kuma, Victoria Kume, Montana O'Lexa, and Sarah Wilkinson.

THE BIBLE BOWL is a Synod-sponsored competition for Junior & Senior High students, testing their knowledge on a specified book of the Bible each year. Our Catechism class, augmented by the High School youth of the parish, fields a team for the Bible Bowl, held each February. Melissa Bingey, Courtney Hrycko, Sierra O'Lexa, and Sarah Wilkinson formed this year's team that competed against four other churches at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Uniontown on February 27th.

VACATION CHURCH SCHOOL is offered for one week in the summer for children of the parish and the community, pre-school through grade 7. Ms. Michele Kuma serves as co-ordinator. This past summer our VCS took place place July 26 through 30, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Watch for announcement of this year's VCS.

THE PASTOR'S CLASS is usually a four- to six-session course of instruction on Lutheran beliefs and practice, offered for persons who wish to become members, those with questions who are undecided about their faith, or members who desire a refresher course on the Lutheran catechism. The Pastor is happy to schedule this course whenever anyone expresses an interest. (Call 724-872-7177; leave a message and number on the machine if no one is in.)

AN ADULT BIBLE STUDY group currently meets on Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. in the church lounge. All are welcome; bring your own Bible, or use one on the shelf in the lounge.
