Spiritual Quote
My spirit has become dry because it forgets to feed on you.

— St. John of the Cross 1542-1591

Congregational Meeting: 10:30 a.m., May 16
Three times a year we pause and gather to act on our direction as a congregation. One of those times will be coming up on May 16, at our Spring Congregational Meeting.

In a general sense we have two questions to ponder at any congregational meeting. The first is a reflection on the quality of our communal worship. The second is how do we better organize to love one another and the world beyond the walls of our congregation.

Specifically at this meeting we will consider moving from one to two worship services. We will consider opportunities to love one another through goals and projects overseen by church committees. We will organize people for worship roles through the summer. We will vote to send Steve and Sherry Thompson as our representatives to the Synod Assembly in Fort Collins, May 21-23. And we will consider some summer activities. Please come to this meeting of the congregation.

Prayers This Week
My God,
I pray that I may so know you and love you
that I may rejoice in you.
And if I may not do so fully in this life,
let me go steadily on
to the day when I come to that fullness. . .
let me receive
That which you promised through your truth,
that my joy may be full.
— St. Anselm, 1033-1109

Lord bless us that we may grow in love of one another. Guide our acts of kindness and make us instruments of your healing, inclusion, and strengthening to all people. Amen.
