There is an endless number of things you may decide to do for fund raisers to use Care Abounds in Communities™ funds. Please remember to have your fund raiser approved by the Chapter Board 30 days in advance of the fund raiser date, and to publicize the event to all of the other Chapter churches. This helps to make your event a success!! |
There are many ways to use Care in Congregations™ dollars.
Pancake Breakfasts or Suppers |
McDonalds has a plan they offer for fund raisers. You have the event at the McDonald restaurant. They charge a small portion and your organization gets the rest; plus the supplemental funds from Thrivent Financial...this makes a good fund-raiser plus no clean up at your church!
Rummage Sales |
Rummage sales are a good way to raise money for a person or cause in the community. Also this is an excellent way to promote your activity to communities and other Thrivent Financial chapter churches.
Benefit Concerts |
Get the other chapters of Thrivent Financial involved in a benefit concert for a needy family, nonprofit organization, etc.
Lenten/Advent Soup Suppers |
Some congregations collect free-will offerings at their Lenten or Advent suppers before church to benefit nonprofit organizations. Thrivent Financial may supplement 50 cents on the dollar.
Fall Festivals, Suppers, etc. |
Lots of churches have fall festivals, spaghetti or turkey suppers, etc. and use these as fund raising activities for a needy person in their church or community.
Bake Sales |
Schedule a bake sale at your church following worship services for a needy cause. Thrivent Financial may supplement funds 50 cents on the dollar.
