2007 Volunteerism Award Recipient |

Each year, a Florida Financial Representative is selected for a Volunteerism Award. This year the award goes to Brett McAtee, Financial Associate for the Florida Gulf Coast Team of Ft. Myers.
Brett has provided overall leadership to the Lee chapter for the past four years making sure he or one of his team members is present at most every meeting. He actively participates in Care Abounds in Communities activities and congregational events.
With this award comes a $1000 grant to a charity of Brett's choice. Brett has selected Servant’s Heart Ministry for his donation.

On May 12, 2007 in Orlando, FL, Brett McAtee was awarded with the Fraternalist of the Year Award from the FL State Fraternal Congress Board of Directors during the Annual Fraternal Congress. Congratulations Brett!

The members of All Saints Lutheran Church raised funds to benefit Meals on Wheels in Osceola County. Supplemental funds were provided by the Osceola Thrivent Chapter. |

Kids Hope United
|
Christ the King Lutheran in Miami raised $7000 and the Miami-Dade chapter supplemented with $800 for Kids Hope United. Financial Representative Keith Berman presents the check.
Kids Hope United helps foster children and their families. Great project!!

Boxes for our Soldiers |
|
At our September meeting of all of our Financial Representatives, we conducted a hands-on work project for our soldiers in Iraq. 125 boxes were assembled and sent to our soldiers.
