| On January 13, Northwest Indiana Financial Representatives sponsored Lutheran Night at the Valparaiso University Men's Basketball Game with the VU Office of Church Relations. This was a great opportunity to share with the Lutheran community about the Thrivent Builds Home that will be built this year with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Valparaiso, so we spread the word through a prize drawing registration table, a fun halftime show, a "hammer toss" and more. WFMS Riley Radiothon - Over $300,000 raised in February! |
Thrivent Financial teamed up with Riley Hospital for Children to help find volunteers for their annual Radiothon, which raised more than $300,000 for Riley Hospital for Children this year! The Country Station, 95.5 WFMS hosted the event live over the air on February 8, 9 and 10. Listeners were encouraged to call in and make a financial pledge to help support patient care and pediatric medical research at Riley. This day of celebration of fraternal achievements, volunteer recognition, sharing, and Thrivent awareness took place on Saturday, March 31, 2007 from 9AM - 2PM at the Indianapolis Mariott North hotel. Blood Drive Prize Winners |
Each Lutheran Life Saver donor received free gifts - over $3,000 worth of gift certificates were given out with at least one winner at each location. Donors were also eligible for the grand prize 42” plasma television valued at $1,800 (special support provided by Circuit City! The winners were notified by Tuesday, May 15.Pictured to the right are Lutheran High School-Indianapolis students who won either a Best Buy gift card or an iPod Nano after giving blood in April. | Join Hands Day 2007 |

On May 5, 2007, fraternalists and nonfraternalists alike came together for JOIN HANDS DAY—and made a difference in their communities through helpful projects that connected youth and adults. Every year, JOIN HANDS DAY gives fraternal benefit societies and volunteer organizations the opportunity to reach out to people they don’t know, to connect generations and develop new relationships.If you would like your Join Hands Day event posted on our web-site as well, please submit your photos and stories!
