2006 Indianapolis Air Show Benefits Riley Hospital

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans once again supported the 2006 Indianapolis Air Show by recruiting 800 volunteers and providing over $100,000 to benefit Riley Hospital for Children. The 2006 show was on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27, featuring the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the United States Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, the Red Eagles Duo, Warbirds and much more!

A big THANK YOU to the 800 volunteers who helped at the 2006 Indianapolis Air Show! We truly appreciate the commitment that each of you make to this event and we welcome your feedback. We encourage you to read an article published in the Carroll County Comet about a Ralph Byers, a special Air Show volunteer.

Photos from the 2006 Indianapolis Air Show

The Indianapolis Air Show is our Thrivent Financial Indiana Region's signature volunteer event. There's no other regional event in the nation that compares in terms of volunteers and dollars raised. The Air Show also brings members and volunteers together from every corner of the region for a unique volunteer experience. At the end of the day, a significant donation was directed to Riley Hospital for Children. In 2005, the Air Show was their largest single fundraiser. Riley Hospital serves families from EVERY county in Indiana and many of you have shared your personal story of a family member or friend that's been treated at Riley.

We hope you enjoyed one of the nation's premier Air Shows. Beyond that, we hope you also realize that your presence at the air show had a real purpose. You made a difference for a child in need.
