Care in Regions
Through the Care in Regions program, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans provides funding for members of multiple chapters to come together, through community service teams, and work with their regional manager of Lutheran community services (MLCS) to address a significant regional need(s). The community service teams conduct fund-raising activities, appeals/collections and/or hands-on service activities that benefit individuals, families and not-for-profit organizations (including congregations) with significant needs. All activities are approved by the MLCS.

Chileda Classic Care in Regions

Over 1500 participants run/walk in July 2nd Chileda Classic in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
The La Crosse Chileda Classic has evolved into a racing reunion of sorts where families not burn calories, but reunite for a good cause. The 10K race is one of the premier summer road races in the area, and draws competitors from throughout the country.
This is the third year that the chileda Classic has been a Care in Regions event. The runners/walkers seek pledges in order to help fund Chileda, which is a non-profit residential treatment center and school for children with development disabilities.
This year the event raised over $40,000 for Chileda kids.
Boys and Girls Club of Langlade County Golf Classic
