| Roles & Responsibilities |
Many have asked us if there is a clear definition of duties for Congregational Coordinators. While there is a set of structural guidelines from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, we have created a structure for Congregational teams who would like to have a more defined outline of specific roles and responsibilities. We recommend, although not required, that all coordinators have email and internet access.
|
| Financial Coordinator |
The Financial Coordinator assumes the following responsibilities: 1. This person should have direct access to the internet. 2. Keep track of the Care in Congregations supplemental funds available for the congregation. 3. Enter online the project for which the congregational service team is requesting funding. 4. Send in receipts for projects to the chapter leadership board. 5. Report to Thrivent the results of the activity after it has been completed.
|
| Events Coordinator |
The Events Coordinator assumes the following responsibilities: 1. Facilitate the details of dates, times and locations of Congregation planning meetings. This person could also lead the meeting. 2. Coordinate the communication between the congregation and the Congregational Service Team Director. 3. Work with the chapter Vice President to help coordinate the details of elections with members voting for the local chapter officers during the fall of each year. 4. Recommend to the Financial Associate Advisor(s) who have been assigned to a specific congregation, seminar ideas that would be of high interest to members with the congregation. This person could also help host the seminar.
|
| Communications Coordinator |
The Communications Coordinator assumes the following responsibilities: 1. Written and oral communication to the congregation of activities taking place within the congregation, chapter, regional and national level within Thrivent. 2. Communicate to the chapter some activities taking place within the congregation. 3. Place fraternal materials on display at Thrivent sponsored congregational and community activities, i.e. fall election, Easter breakfast, or confirmation appreciation. 4. Order the baptismal medallions and confirmation crosses. 5. Communicate to the congregation seminar information at the direction of the Events Coordinator.
