The Rocky
Mountain Regions would like to recognize their chapters that earned a Chapter
of Excellence award for the volunteer contributions to their local communities
in 2007. The award acknowledges the chapter’s leadership and members for
organizing and implementing projects and events to address area needs and much
more.
In order to earn the Thrivent Financial Chapter of
Excellence status in 2007, a chapter had to meet these key hallmarks:
1.
Held at least six
Chapter Leadership Board meetings
2.
Sponsored at
least two Join Hands Day projects using 100% of the seed money
3.
Conducted one
Congregational Coordinator training event and one Congregational Coordinator
recognition event
4.
Used 100% of their
allocated Care Abounds in Communities dollars
5.
Sponsored at
least one educational event with Financial Representative involvement
6.
Year-end average
on Care Dollars was equal to, or greater than, $2.7 dollars raised to $1
allocated dollar on fund-raisers, and two volunteer hours for every $5
allocated on hands-on service projects
7.
Sent at least four
mailings to their members
8.
Held an annual
election meeting
9.
One chapter
leader called in for the quarterly Regional Advisory Board at least twice
during the year
10. Notified the Financial Representative(s) of upcoming
activities on the Chapter and Congregational levels
11.
Held at least
one event that built awareness of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans
12.
Invited at least
one elected official to attend a chapter activity, maintained a chapter website,
appointed a Financial Associate Advisor, or took an active part in involving
members in our partnership with Habitat for Humanity.
