Monroe County WI Chapter
The Monroe County Wisconsin Chapter is comprised of eighteen congregations and has a membership of nearly 3000 people. Most of our congregations are smaller rural congregations. Our larger congregations are located in Sparta and Tomah.

The Chapter met the criteria to be a chapter of excellence for the years 2007,2008,2009,2010 and 2011.

In 2012 we supported seventeen community events conducted through our Chapter; thirteen fund raisers and four hands-on activities.
The total local dollars raised were $184,541.00 and the Care Abounds in Communities funds supplemented $13,900.00. The
total volunteer hours for these events was 10,323 hours. Thrivent values volunteer hours at a rate of $21.36 per hour, so labor-wise, those hours had a value of $220,499.00.

When you volunteer to assist those around you in need, you have a much greater impact than you may think, both monetarily and showing your concern and support to others!

About Our Chapter
Thank you for visiting our chapter Web site. Here’s a few things you should know about our chapter.

Our chapter is one of nearly 1,400 nationwide chartered local units of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans that brings Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members together for charitable, social and educational activities. Chapters are organized geographically, primarily by county. All Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members belong to a chapter in the area in which they live, which enables them to aid themselves and others through voluntary action.

Each chapter has a leadership board made up of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members who are elected and/or appointed. The chapter leadership board is responsible for allocating funds to service teams for helping individuals and community organizations.
