About Iowa County |
Iowa County is set in the scenic, rolling hills of Southwestern Wisconsin. Our northern boundary is the beautiful Wisconsin River. Woodland, farmland, rivers, prairies, lakes and trout streams are abundant. According to the 2005 census, Iowa county's population is 22,780 residents. The county seat and largest community is Dodgeville with a population of 4600. Communities in Iowa County are some of the oldest in our state. We are a rural county with the largest percentage of our income from agriculture. Iowa County has beautiful parks including Governor Dodge State Park near Dodgeville, Blue Mound State Park near Barneveld and Blackhawk Lake near Highland. In addition there are many private and historical sites such as The House on the Rock near Dodgeville, Talesin near Spring Green, Pendarvis in Mineral Point, The Merry Christmas Mine in Mineral Point, American Players Theatre near Spring Green, Folklore Village near Ridgeway, and Alliant Energy Wind Farm near Montfort. |

About Our Chapter |
Thank you for visiting our chapter Web site. Here’s a few things you should know about our chapter. Our chapter is one of nearly 1,400 nationwide chartered local units of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans that brings Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members together for charitable, social and educational activities. Chapters are organized geographically, primarily by county. All Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members belong to a chapter in the area in which they live, which enables them to aid themselves and others through voluntary action. Each chapter has a leadership board made up of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members who are elected and/or appointed. The chapter leadership board is responsible for allocating funds to service teams for helping individuals and community organizations. Our Chapter Meetings |

The Iowa County Chapter Leadership board meets on the third Monday of each month starting at 7:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. We meet at Grace Lutheran Church in the Conference Room at 1105 Bequette St. in Dodgeville, WI. Check the upcoming dates page on this site for the date each month. | |
