The North Snohomish County Chapter is one of 1357 Thrivent chapters in the United States. Our mission is to bring together Thrivent members and associate members to develop charitable, social, and educational activites to benefit our lives and communities. The territory of the North Snohomish County Chapter includes 12 Lutheran congregations and hundreds of Thrivent Financial members and associate members. Geographically, we cover the extreme northern portion of Snohomish County from the water on the west to the mountains on the east, and Camano Island just west of and linked to North Snohomish County. Much of the area is rural suburban with small cities dotting the landscape. Many miles separate the communities, but we know that by working together we can address the needs of our communities.
Each chapter has a leadership board made up of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans' members who are elected by the Chapter members annually. The chapter leadership board is responsible for allocating funds to service teams for helping individuals, congregations, and community organizations.
Look around your neighborhood. Might there be congregational or community needs? Is there a possibility you, along with others, could develop a fund-raising or hands-on service project which can be submitted as a proposal to your congregational coordinator or a chapter officer? By working together our communities can be served or improved.
Hopefully, this web site will encourage you to take action and address some of the needs in our communities.
