2009 Congregational Coordinator Training |

The Mid Willamette Valley Chapter held 2 congregational coordinator training sessions at Peace Lutheran in Philomath and St. John Lutheran in McMinnville. Approximately 70 people attended and learned about the work done in the Chapter in 2008 and about the new programs and funding allocation plans for 2009. Each session started with signup and receiving of materials needed for 2009. Those congregations who sent all 3 coordinators received a $100 bonus. If 3 additional people attended, the congregation will be given a quilt batting. |

A major part of any Thrivent activity is food. The ladies of Philomath provided a wonderful selection of homemade cinnamon rolls, fruits and juices. |

Congregational coordinators were assigned to plan an activity and fill in all application paperwork required by the Board. Board members then role played a typical Board meeting and assessed the Requests for Funding for appropriate type of event, recipient and required paperwork before "voting" on whether to provide the requested funding. |
