To show appreciation and support to the many Thrivent members who volunteer daily to serve their community, the Chapter is sponsoring a "Trip to Metamora, IN" aboard the Whitewater Valley train from Connersville, IN on Saturday, September 30. The Chapter will sponsor the buses while members pay their train fare and if desired a box lunch, provided aboard the train. We will gather at Grace Lutheran Church on St. Paris Pike in Springfield at 8:30 a.m. and board the buses. Connersville is approximately 90 miles away and our train departs at 12 noon. We will spend the afternoon in Metamora and our returning bus leaves Connersville at about 5:00 p.m. arriving back in Springfield at approximately 7:30 p.m. The reservation form is in the current Chapter newsletter and reservations must be made by the ABSOLUTE deadline of Tuesday, September 5. A confirming letter will be sent to each reservation giving details of parking, bus boarding, etc. The reservation form with payment is sent to Gene Roller, 2631 Casey Drive, Springfield, OH 45503. |
