SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDING CRITERIAFunds can be obtained for two types of activities:
1) Supplemental funding up to $1,600 for a fund raising activity such as a supper, bake sales and so for when sponsors by 6 active Thrivent families.
2) Up to $1,600 can be given for a hands-on service project such as the repair of school roof or building of structure at a Christian camp. Receipts must be supplied before any money is sent.
For an individual person or family in need the fund could be up to $5,000.
All requests must be submitted at least 1 month in advance on a completely filled out Request for Funding Care in Communities form that is available in Chapter Forms section of this WEB site.
The requests are then brought before the Chapter board for discussion and vote. After approval by majority vote of the board, a letter and packet is sent confirming the amount of supplemental funding or hands-on monies that was approved. Along with the letter, all of the necessary papers that need to be filled out to receive that money are also sent.
