Our Chapter includes Swift and Big Stone Counties in West Central Minnesota. Twenty-nine congregations are included in our chapter.

In 2003 our chapter and the congregations in the chapter received $61,824 from Thrivent for "care programs" in the chapter to supplement the $183,470 raised locally to provide a total of $245,294 in assistance to families in need, worthwhile community organizations and projects, and to meet the needs of congregations.

The chapter leadership board is grateful to all the individuals in the chapter who took the lead in organizing fund raisers and other projects which have allowed us to be so successful in our first year of operation. We are proud of you!!

Our chapter is one of nearly 1,400 nationwide chartered local units of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans that brings Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members together for charitable, social and educational activities. Chapters are organized geographically, primarily by county. All Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members belong to a chapter in the area in which they live, which enables them to aid themselves and others through voluntary action.

Each chapter has a leadership board made up of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members who are elected and/or appointed. The chapter leadership board is responsible for allocating funds to service teams for helping individuals and community organizations.
