Each Thrivent Financial for Lutherans member is assigned to one of nearly 1,400 local Thrivent Financial units called chapters. Chapters encompass all members in a geographic area and are part of a larger group, called regions. There are 32 regions in the United States. The Duluth Area Chapter is one of 25 chapters in the North-Centrl Minnesota Region, which encompasses all of northeastern Minnesota and the state's mid-section. There are more than 4,800 Thrivent Financial members in the Duluth Area Chapter.
Each chapter has a leadership board made up of Thrivent Financial members who are elected and/or appointed. The chapter leadership board is responsible for allocating funds through the Care in Community program to help individuals and community organizations. In addition, the chapter board brings Thrivent Financial members together for charitable, social and educational activities.
