About Our Chapter
Thank you for visiting The Newberry County Chapter Web site. Here’s a few things you should know about our chapter.

Located in the piedmont area of South Carolina, our chapter is one of nearly 1,400 nationwide chartered local units of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans that brings Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members together for charitable, social and educational activities. Chapters are organized geographically, primarily by county. All Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members belong to a chapter in the area in which they live, which enables them to aid themselves and others through voluntary action.

Each chapter has a leadership board made up of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members who are elected and/or appointed. The chapter leadership board is responsible for allocating funds to service teams for helping individuals and community organizations.

Mission Statement
Adopted at the May 2004 meeting of the leadership board, the Newberry County Chapter Mission Statement is:

"The mission of the Newberry County Leadership Board of Thrivent Financial For Lutherans is to proclaim the love of God through the promotion of volunteerism and fund-raising projects which will improve the lives of people, and in so doing, the Newberry County community becomes a better place to live."
