Lutheran Campus Ministry at Georgia Tech serves the campuses of Georgia Tech and Georgia State providing a place for students to deepen their faith through weekly worship, bible study, and exposure to a caring, supportive, Christian community. The ministry is accomplished through a 75 plus year old house located on the campus of Georgia Tech in downtown Atlanta. Due to the house's age, maintenance and repairs seem never ending. A number of students are housed at the house which helps supplement the financial needs of the ministry. The single bathroom located in the house was in desperate need of repair. Our chapter teamed with the Gwinnett Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to complete much needed renovations to the bathroom at the Lutheran Center. Improvements included the replacement of the rotted floor, replacement of fixtures, drywall, and tile work. A large number of volunteers completed the renovations over a number of workdays this past summer. Many thanks to everyone who participated and supported this project.
