Thank you for visiting our Chapter's website. Please do not hesitate to contact one of our Chapter Leaders if you have any questions about the Lutheran congregations in our area, or the activities that our Thrivent Chapter is involved with in our community. To let you know a little about me, my wife, three daughters, and I have lived in Woodstock/Towne Lake since 1993. I grew up in Chicago, graduated from the Ohio State University, and moved my family to Georgia in 1991. Having lived here now for 16 years, my family and I have now come to call this “Home”. My family belongs to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Woodstock. It is a short 15 minute drive and have become quite active in the congregation. Shortly after Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL) and Lutheran Brotherhood (LB) merged to form Thrivent Financial for Lutherans back in 2003, I became a founding member of the Cherokee-Pickens Chapter of Thrivent Financial For Lutherans. It is a great honor and I am very proud to be involved in an organization that gives so much to our community. If you are reading this, you are already well on your way to researching the activities that Thrivent is doing in our community. Jenny and her husband, Jason, are members of Good Shepherd in Woodstock. Jenny and her family have been members since 1993, and Jason joined the church in 2001 when they got married. Jenny works for the new AT&T formerly Bellsouth in the Operations Department responsible for Georgia and South Carolina. They have a lively five year old Jack Russell named Buster. |

I am a founding member of Celebration of Grace in Canton. As Congregational Service Team Director, I assist the three Congregational Coordinators from each of our two congregations, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and Timothy Lutheran Church, both in Woodstock to raise matching Thrivent funds for each church. Each team of Congregational Coordinators organizes fund raising and hands-on service activities within the church that benefit the congregation and/or its various missions.If you have a passion for coordinating activities that help the church and you are interested in receiving matching funds from Thrivent, please contact me. Our teams could use your help and would love to work with you.

I am a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and a Community Service Team Director of the Cherokee-Pickens Chapter of Thrivent Financial For Lutherans. As Community Service Team Director I assist our Chapter in the multitude of projects and activities that our Chapter does in our local and far reaching community. |
