Summer is a busy time for everyone and South Rice is managing to get taken up in the activities. July 11 we had a great time with Janelle Spellbrink at Bernie's grill in Faribault and met the North Rice Board members also. It was a delicious dinner and then we gathered in groups and did an analysis of our personalities. Most of us turned out to be blue , which means that they are caring and wanting to help people and this probably is why they are on the Thrivent Board.
On July 23 we will be traveling by bus to Chanhasen Theater for the Show Nunsensations. The bus leaves at 9:30 and Arrives back in Faribault at 5:00 p.m.
Election
Also Election will be coming up and it will be the last Sunday in October again. If you or know of anyone who is interested in being on the Thrivent Board please contact Jean Schmidtke at
507-685-2314. Our Board has a great time at these meetings and enjoys each others company. We meet the 2nd Monday of each month at Perkins. Also Watch your Thrivent magazines for the National Election ballots for voting in October or November October 8th will be an outing on the Spirit of the Water Cruise Ship on the River in Redwing for 2 1/2 hours of sightseeing, food and enjoying the scenery. Open to all South Rice Members. The bus will meet at Heritage Park at 3:15 in Faribault.
Again in Novemeber we will have our Annual Holiday get together
at the American Legion in Faribault. We hope you all have a great and Safe Summer. |
