George is a chemical engineer by training, engaged in management, operational and engineering responsibilities with PPG Industries for 43 years retired in 2002 and continues to hold a professional engineer’s license. He serves on the boards of Wetzel Co. Hospital, in new Martinsville, and The New Martinsville Water/Sanitary Commission for the City of New Martinsville. Mr. Friedline served on the Church-wide Church Council of the ELCA from 1997-2003. He currently serves as Vice President of the West Virginia-Western Maryland Synod. He has been a Lay Worship Assistant since 1972, serving vacation and other vacancies within the Synod. A member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in New Martinsville, he is currently the treasurer of the congregation. He and his wife Dorcas have four sons.

Lois has been married to Marvin A. Gray for 53 years. They have one daughter, Gwen, a son-in-law, Jim, and twin ten-year-old grandsons. Lois is president of the church council at Messiah and Past Pres. of Women of the ELCA. She served as an AAL Branch Officer for over 18 years, was a Lamplighter, and Branch Coach. Lois is a retired certified Registered Nurse with 40 years of experience, last being employed as Assistant Director of Nursing. She held the office of chairperson of several divisions of the American Nurses, WV Nurses, and District Nurses Associations, and was named to the “Who’s Who in Nursing”. Lois was a Mother Advisor of the Local Order of Rainbow for Girls and received The Grand Cross of Color. She is also a member of The Eastern Star. She is Health Co Ordinator of the Elizabeth Town CEO'S and a member of the Shufflers. She was Records, Communication, and Internet Director of her chapter in past years. She collects mail pouch items, goebels, hatpins and enjoys helping people, traveling and life.
