Choir has begun for the new year under the direction of Carolyn Davidson. Come and sing with the choir. Practice is Sunday morning during the Sunday School hour.

The Sunday School will be singing in church twice a month this year. They will sing in the early service the last Sunday of the month and in the late service the first Sunday of the month. Watch for our youth playing their instruments they are learning in our service too.

Deutsche Welle - Handel and Halle

This week sees the 250th anniversary of the death of composer Georg Fridrich Handel. The main celebrations are taking place in London, where Handel spent most of his life and composed his most famous works. But Handel actually came from the city of Halle in Saxony-Anhalt and came to the attention of the musical world playing the organ in its churches. During the Baroque period, the region was home and inspiration to many top composers. But what is Halle like today? And could it produce another musician of Handel's caliber?
