We ask you, dear Lord,
to hold our men and women
in your loving hands.
As they travel far from home
keep them safe in other lands.
They are admired, cherished
and loved, we respectfully say.
Their families, giving and enduring,
so we can live the American way.
We bow our heads,
honor them in prayer,
and ask that You keep them,
Lord, in Your divine care.
For the gift o f freedom
is ours today, thanks to
these brave Americans and
