| Cross Cultural Project Brazil 2004 |
| | | About Campus Outreach and the CCP | | The purpose of the Cross Cultural Project to Brazil is to expose college students to ministry in another culture, to grow their world vision, to grow them in evangelism, to grow them in their relationship with God, and most importantly to build laborers by assisting the long-term Campus Outreach team in Brazil. The eight weeks we are there consist of visiting a local university, UFMG, every weekday, and spending time with the Brazilians, many of which can speak English, and build friendships with them. The purpose is to show them the love of Jesus Christ and to tell them about how they can come into a relationship with God through Christ. The vision of Campus Outreach is "building laborers on the campus for the lost world." The ministry helps students become people who will labor in building up the Kingdom of God for the rest of their lives. They do this by reaching students with the gospel of Jesus Christ, training them into mature disciples, equipping them to to be laborers, and then sending them out. Their vision is that trained graduates would provide leadership in every area of influence--the church, medicine, community, business, education, missions, politics, etc. at home and around the world, and that ultimately, people around the world will hear the good news of salvation through our Lord and come to know Him!

About Me |
I just graduated from Southeast Missouri State Universtiy. After I return from Brazil, I am moving to Memphis, TN in August, where I will be doing therapy with children with autism, as well as helping start up a new Campus Outreach ministry on the campus of University of Memphis.I have been involved with Campus Outreach since my sophomore year of college, when I realized I had not been living my life for Jesus, but for myself. I surrendered ALL to Him, and thankfully, God put people in my life who demonstrated to me what a relationship with Jesus was really about. They have become some of my dearest friends, and they have helped me grow in my walk with God and grow closer to Him, helped me learn how to study the Bible for myself, and how to share my faith with others. I went on the Summer Beach Project, another opportunity with Campus Outreach, for the past two summers, where I learned more about sharing my faith and growing in intimacy with God. Many of the people I am in Brazil with I have known from Beach Projects. I want to go into full-time ministry in missions eventually, and I pray that my experience in Brazil will help prepare me for whatever God has in store for my future.
