The ALOA recently launched a new Web site, aloaserves.org. The site features information about ALOA, resources and services for older adult ministry, ALOA sponsored events, and membership information,. ALOA is a national, inter-Lutheran, volunteer driven movement of older adults committed to being a “resource to the Lutheran Church that strengthens ministry, by, for and with older adults.” ALOA challenges older adults to “celebrate” the gifts of aging and to seek opportunities “to be of service.” This is a great Web site containing not only information about ALOA’s many events like Lutherhostels, SeniorfFests, and Pilgrimages, but also resources and services to help congregations as they minister to older adults and as they seek to maintain and increase involvement of that age group in mission.
