April, May, June 2009Easter Has Come-Spring Has Sprung-God is Good
We have had a very busy first quarter of 2009. We have seen many new clients from lay-offs and money problems. Our ministry has been such a blessing for so many.
During March and April we have been collecting food for the Feinstein Challenge. So far our numbers look great. It looks like we will have some impressive numbers when all is said and done. What an amazing group of donors we have helping us serve our clients.
We had lots of help from our “Easter Bunnies” for Easter this year. We received many beautiful baskets for us to share with our clients children. We also gave out hams and eggs. Mt. Clair grade school and St. John’s Lutheran in Yutan made artistic gifts for each family to take home with their Easter pantries. There was so much to share. Our clients went away with big smiles on their faces.
God has blessed us with so many wonderful volunteers. April is Volunteer Appreciation month and we celebrated at “Big Mama’s Kitchen”. We had a fun time and really enjoyed each other’s company.
We continue to help those in need because of all our generous donors. Gifts of time and money keep us doing what God calls us to do.
God Bless You,
Leigh A. Trumble
Executive Director
