Biography
William Weeks was born April 11, 1813 in Marhta's Vineyard, Dukes County, Massachusetts and was baptized in the southern states. He married Caroline Matilda Allen June 11, 1841 at Nauvoo, Illinois.

After his arrival in Nauvoo he was appointed Temple Architect. Although Joseph Smith was responsible for the temple design and general supervision, Weeks drafted numerous sketches, drawings, and handled the day-to-day construction problems. He also designed the Nauvoo House, the Arsenal, and the Nauvoo Cultural Hall/Masonic Temple.

William was endowed December 12, 1845 in the Nauvoo Temple.
