Letter to his family back east: |
City of Nauvoo February 14, 1842We have not had any sleighing and the weather most of the time has been mild and all things seem to move in good order and good feelings. I think we have no reason to complain, but on the other hand to rejoice and praise God . . . My family are in good health at this time. The children are all glad to hear from Grandmother and all their relations. Martha and all the children send their love to you. Rodophus E. [a son] grows finely. The children all love him and sometimes cry to hold him. I wish you could see him. You would say that he was a fine boy. (2) | |
