COMMITMENT
SUNDAY . . . SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 19 - We heard about the challenges!
We looked at some questions!! We shared our feelings and thoughts about
giving!!! Now it's time to put it together in a commitment . . . a commitment
to God, a commitment to the congregation and a commitment to one another
and the future!!! Over the next three years there will not only be bills
to pay and every-day ministry to support; there will also be BUILDING FOR
THE FUTURE and FORWARD IN FAITH, as we build for the future at Triumphant
Cross and the synod looks to support outreach opportunities and leadership
needs. We'll talk about out invitation to be involved in God's work here
and now, how we are going to help each other do what we really want to
do, and we'll be smiling and celebrating!!! |

THE CHURCH BUILDING - CAN YOU HELP?!! Once
every month volunteers gather to do the work in and around the church building
that needs to be done . . . there are tasks both large and small, complicated
and simple to maintain and improve the building and grounds. The next WORKDAY
AT THE CHURCH BUILDING is Saturday, September 9, beginning at 9:00 a.m.;
the mornings tasks conclude with a provided lunch and fellowship. (If you
cannot come out and help - please consider preparing the lunch and/or dessert!!) |

INVITE
NEW NEIGHBORS . . . The congregation,
using the resources of Welcome Wagon, sends welcoming letters to new residents
in the northern portion of St. Clair Shores; two months of newsletters
are also sent to those new homeowners.
The "INVITE NEW NEIGHBORS
. . . " bulletin board in the lobby lists several months of those new addresses
and indicates their approximate location on a map. All are encouraged to
check to see if you have a new neighbor near by; an address label may be
peeled from the listings and those new neighbors may be welcomed by you
as a representative of the congregation, as well as a new neighbor!! Check
it out!! |
