St. John's Ev. Lutheran School is founded on the following eternal truths as revealed in God's inerrant Word, the Holy Scriptures (II Peter 1:2, II Timothy 3:16):1. There is only one true God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit (I Timothy 2:5, Mathew 3:16-17).
2. God created all things, and He created man as the crown of that creation (Genesis 1, Psalm 8:4-8).
3. Man's fall into sin has corrupted the entire human race, making all men subjected to damnation (Isaiah 64:6, Romans 3:9-19).
4. God, through His grace, love and mercy, sent His only Son, Jesus, to suffer and die to pay for all sins of every man (John 3:16, Romans 5:6-8).
5. All people who, through the power of the Holy Spirit, believe that Jesus is their Savior receive forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation without any merit or worthiness on their part (Romans 5:1, Titus3:4-7).
6. As a believer in God, a Christian will strive to show his love for God by using his gifts and talents to help spread the Word of God. He will help his fellow Christians and fellow human beings in every way possible (Matthew 28:18-20, Hebrews 10:25).
