“Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might understand the gifts bestowed on us by God.” 1 Corinthians 2:12 It is a blessing for me to serve as Pastor of this faithful family of believers. We have been baptized to serve. What a joy it is to watch the Spirit of God move in the lives of those who gather each week for Praise, Worship and Service. We are truly laying a foundation upon which the Lord is building each week. We are a multicultural, intergenerational family. Here you will find a loving family and an opportunity to grow in faith and service. We are a blended church where the very young, the very old and all those in between will find Christ meeting their needs. We are changing Lutherans serving a changing and growing community. You are welcome. | | | | The Church Year | | The church calendar follows the life of Jesus through the year. ADVENT begins four Sundays before Christmas, preparing for Christ in Christmas, in our lives, and at the end of time. CHRISTMAS is 12 days celebrating the birth of Jesus. EPIPHANY begins on January 6, celebrating the ways God is made known to us in Christ.LENT is the 40 days (not counting Sundays) before Easter, beginning with Ash Wednesday. It is a time to renew our commitment to Christ and to meditate on the ministry and suffering of Jesus. THE THREE DAYS are Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, & Easter Eve. EASTER is 50 days (including Sundays) beginning with Easter Sunday, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus, God's victory over sin, death, and the power of evil. PENTECOST begins 50 days after Easter Day and continues until Advent, celebrating the gift of the Holy Spirit to the Church and our growth in faith.

Catechist Atrium |

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is an approach to the religious formation of children. It is rooted in the Bible, the liturgy of the church, and the educational principles of Maria Montessori. Children gather in an "atrium," a room prepared for them, which contains simple yet beautiful materials that they use.
