)Dear Parish Family;
***With all of the hustle and bustle of this time of year, it becomes difficult not to get caught up in the commercialism of the Christmas Season. With the focus on buy, buy , buy, we forget that the only reason for the season is the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We must stay focused on the love of God and as St. John reminds us in his Gospel, "That God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not die but have eternal life". (John 3:16) As we go through each day of our life we must remember that no matter where we are in life that God loves us and remains faithful to us even when we fall short in doing so. That is what it means to love unconditionally!
*** As we go through this advent and Christmas season let us make a commitment to ourselves and to God to become better at being part of Jesus' Church. No matter how long you have been away from Church, Holy Trinity's doors are always open to welcome you back home. The work of bringing the Gospel message of God's Kingdom is never ending, this message of God's Love, and Forgiveness is needed more now in our world than ever before.
*** Enclosed please find the Poinsettia Sponsor Form. Please have the form with the names of your loved ones sent to the Church no later than December 14th. Forms can also be put in the collection plate on Sunday up til December 11th.
***It is my hope and prayer that the true meaning of Christmas will burn bright in your hearts, and what better place to take hold of that flame then here at Jesus' Church. Let us rejoice and worship Him who is Christ the Lord.
