St. John’s Lutheran Church held our 4th Annual Community Turkey Dinner, in March. The menu included turkey & dressing, mashed potatoes & gravy, vegetable, salad, rolls, and homemade pie. This is supplemented by the Fall River County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.It's become a yearly tradition. Every year has been a great success! Please join us next March! |

The Fall River Falls Memorial Walkway Project is underway! This memorial walkway is being constructed as a permanent walking path down to the scenic Fall River Falls, recently recognized with a state historical marker, located behind St. John’s Lutheran Church. Brick engraving is available on two different sizes. The 4x8 inch brick (75.00 each) will allow for 3 lines with seventeen letters each, the 8x8 inch brick,($150.00 each), 7 lines, seventeen letters each. This is a meaningful way to honor your friends and family in a lasting way or share your favorite Bible verse in the Black Hills. You may call 605-745-4760 to receive a form, or simply send your information, meeting the above parameters, and payment to St. John's Lutheran Church, 13275 Fall River Rd., Hot Springs, SD 57747. Jesus promises in John 8:31-32, “If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”Please join with many others in our congregation for one of the most important journeys your will make in your lifetime - reading the entire Bible in one year, beginning on Ash Wednesday. If you decide to accept this challenge, please sign your name on the challenge sheet on the Bulletin board and pick up your calendar of readings in the Narthex. Reading the entire Bible in one year is a very rewarding spiritual discipline. |
