Surprise, surprise, surprise....

No one has ever seen Howard with a more surprised look on his face. Tammy and Holly were able to keep this celebration a secret right up to the moment they arrived.

Now I don't know everyone in this picture, but maybe you can identify them by sight. However, I do recognized Holly and Tammy (their daughters) holding the sign. If you look to the left of Tammy you should see Bern (brother to Doris), Sarah (sister of Howard) Ailts and Kate (Kruse) Logston, Howard's niece who lives about ten miles away.

Howard and Doris thought they were going to a "Play", but they were delivered to the Community Center instead. |

Doris was overheard saying that this was a family of liars. You see, they had a flight schedule on their refrigerator indicating Saturday arrivals. Sarah Ailts also called Howard and Doris Friday afternoon on her new cell phone congratulating the couple. She said she was just, a, a, just outside Gillette. Actually, she was in North Dallas in the car with Bern and Gordon. |

Tammy and Holly put a great deal of work into the evening. The decorations came from home where they had help from husbands and children. The food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. About 40 plus friends accepted the invitations they sent and all enjoyed the evening. |

The Celebration continued Saturday at Howard and Doris' residence.

Ken said he could always tell if relatives were calling. They asked for Kathy. Needless to say, Bern, Sarah and I were constantly calling her different names, such as Kathy, Katie, Kat. Her name is KATE and I've been practicing. Her former name used to be Kruse, you know.... Kru See. Now it's one word, KRUSE. There should be a law against this.... Love you all, Gordon. And, that's Gor Done...
